Edouard Long

Edouard Long (born July 17, 1868 in Geneva , † August 8, 1929 ) was a Swiss medic .

Long was the son of Ernest Long, the head of the Geneva Cantonal Hospital. He studied medicine at the University of Geneva , then worked in- house at the Hôpitaux de Paris with Joseph Jules Dejerine , where he received his doctorate . He completed his habilitation in Geneva and in 1919 became Associate Professor of Neuropathology .

From 1927 to 1930 he was President of the Swiss Neurological Society .
