Eduard Klassen

Eduard Klassen (* 20th century in Paraguay ) is a harpist and internationally one of the few interpreters on the Paraguay harp .

Life

Eduard Klassen was born in a settlement of German descent in the middle of the Paraguayan Chaco . According to his own statements, he grew up in this isolated area over 500 km from the nearest town and saw a paved road for the first time at the age of 15. In 1975 he started playing the harp and the instrument soon became his passion. His pursuit of a professional education finally brought him to Asunción , the capital of Paraguay , where he studied for five years.

At the age of 20, Eduard Klassen experienced a conversion to the Christian faith . Since then, his concerts have mostly been characterized by a Christian character in the selection of titles as well as often by the personal testimony of Klass about his path to faith. He also appears at church services, charity events as well as on radio, television and renowned concerts. In 2011 the harpist had over 3500 concerts in 28 countries worldwide.

Eduard Kassen's discography has 14 albums to date. He also released two video recordings on DVD and an autobiography under the title The Harpist - A Soulful Journey.

Eduard Klassen is married to Christine, a Canadian . They have two sons - Mathias and Sheldon - and live in Canada in Stratford, Ontario .
