Eduard shock

Eduard Schock (born March 18, 1959 ) is an Austrian politician ( FPÖ ), former member of the Vienna State Parliament and member of the Vienna City Council and former non-executive city council.

Education and professional activity

Eduard Schock studied law and economics at the University of Vienna and holds the academic degree DDr. He was a university assistant between 1983 and 1985 and moved to the Ministry of Finance as head of cabinet in 1985 . He has been a bank clerk since 1991.

In January 2019 he was nominated by the Council of Ministers as Director of the Oesterreichische Nationalbank .

Political activity

His political entry took place in 1987 as secretary of the FPÖ parliamentary club, he was also involved in district politics and was district councilor from 1987 to 1991. In 1991 he moved to the Vienna state parliament and municipal council, was a non-executive city councilor and member of the Vienna state government from 2000 to 2006, and on November 20, 2006, after the departure of Heinz-Christian Strache, he moved back to the state parliament and local council, where he was Strache Replaced chairman of the Freedom Town Hall Club.

On March 28, 2019, Ulrike Nittmann succeeded him as a non-executive city councilor in the state government and city senate Ludwig .

Eduard Schock is a member of the striking academic fraternity of Aldania.

Private

He is divorced and has two children.
