Eduard Wolff (born November 24, 1794 in Berlin ; † December 30, 1878 there ) was a German surgeon .

Wolff was on 5 December 1818 in writing De Colchici autumnalis uso medico (The medical use of the autumn crocus ') doctorate and habilitated himself in 1829 in Berlin. From 1832 to 1856 he was an associate professor for military medicine. He headed the Medical Academy for Surgeons at the Charité . Since military personnel often did not have sufficient command of Latin , Wolff gave his lectures in German, which is why his house was also called the "German Clinic", while Ernst Daniel August Bartels continued to give his lectures in traditional Latin ("Latin Clinic"). In 1856 Wolff retired , and from 1857 his house was expanded to become the Propaedeutic Clinic. From 1875 to 1878 Wolff was President of the Society for Nature and Medicine . Wolff was awarded the honorary title of " Secret Medical Council ". Wolff is described as "scientifically not very significant", but his clinic was particularly recommended for practical exercises.
