Eduardo Alvariza

Eduardo Alvariza (born July 1, 1959 in Montevideo , Uruguay ) is a Uruguayan writer and journalist .

Life

Alvariza, who completed his training as a psychologist in 1984, worked as a journalist for the newspapers and magazines Jaque , Punto y Aparte , Relaciones and El País Cultural , where he wrote in particular literary and film reviews. From 1988 to 1989 he lived in Madrid . From 1990 he worked for Búsqueda , where he worked as an editor in the culture and events area at the beginning of the 21st century. In 1993 he won the competition of the Intendencia Municipal of Montevideo for "unpublished stories" ( narrativa inédita ) with his book Rojo del cielo y otros cuentos , published the following year . In 2001 his work Ayer escuché a Miles was published . That year he was also awarded the Legión del Libro of the Cámara Uruguaya del Libro . In 2008 he published Mecanismo a válvula .
