Eduardo García was a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The goalkeeper García called "El Flaco" played in 1929 for Sud América in the Primera División . According to other sources, he is said to have moved from Súd Amércia to Nacional Montevideo as early as 1927 . Since 1931 he was therefore with the Bolsos goalkeeper and belonged to the Nacionals squad until 1940. From 1928 to 1940 he is said to have completed a total of 251 games for Nacional. While he was part of Nacional, he was in the Clásicos on August 7, 1932, August 13, 1933, in all three 1934 finals against Club Atlético Peñarol for the Uruguayan championship of 1933 and in the Clásicos on December 8 1935 and September 6, 1936 on the square. With the Bolsos he won the national championship in 1933 and 1934. In 1933 he set a record when he stayed eleven games or a total of 914 minutes without conceding a goal.

National team

García was a member of the Uruguayan senior team . He was a member of the Celeste squad at the 1929 South American Championship in Argentina , where Uruguay was third out of four participating teams. In the course of the tournament, however, he was not used.
