Eduardo Rergis Borja (born December 31, 1980 in Mexico City ) is a retired Mexican football player on the position of defender . He is a son of the former soccer player Eduardo Rergis Pacheco .
career
Rergis began his professional career in 1997 with the Tiburones Rojos Veracruz and made the jump to regular player in the 2000/01 season with the second division club Cruz Azul Hidalgo .
He was then also a regular in the Mexican Primera División at Atlante , UANL Tigres , CF Pachuca and Atlas Guadalajara . He achieved his greatest success in the Clausura 2006 , in which he won the championship with Pachuca.
In 2003 Rergis came to short appearances in three friendly matches of the Mexican national soccer team .
