Edvard Lasota (born March 7, 1971 in Třinec ) is a former Czech football player .
Lasota's youth club was TJ TŽ Třinec , which he left in 1989 at the age of 18 to play for FC Zbrojovka Brno . However, he only had one use for his new club, as he moved to VTJ Tábor in the 2nd division shortly after the start of the season to do his military service there. In 1990 he went to Dukla Prague , where he made 20 appearances and scored six goals.
He went back to Brno and stayed there for two and a half seasons, during which he demonstrated his scoring potential, which is unusual for a midfielder. At the beginning of 1994 he went to Sigma Olomouc , after a year he moved to Petra Drnovice .
In the 1995/96 season he came into outstanding form, which brought him his first appearance for the Czech national team and the move to Master Slavia Prague in the summer of 1996, where he was part of the regular formation. In 1997/98 he was used 13 times in the national team and scored two goals.
In the summer of 1998 he moved to the Italian second division club AC Reggiana , which played for promotion to Serie A , but suffered a serious injury after two missions. Reggiana was relegated to Serie C , where Lasota was not allowed to play as a foreigner. For the second half of 1999/00 he was loaned to SFC Opava , where he came on 13 missions. In the summer of 2000 he returned to AC Reggiana, where he still had a year contract, meanwhile Lasota was eligible to play. In a difficult season he made 18 games and scored two goals. In March 2001 the club loaned him to Salernitana Calcio .
For the 2001/02 season Lasota Italy turned its back and signed for a year with FK Drnovice. He then went to FK Zlín , where he came close to his previous form, especially in the first two years, and became a reliable all-rounder and leading player. As early as 2004/05, however, injuries made him to create and Lasota only came to 19 games.
In the following season, the now 34-year-old Lasota only played five more games and in January 2006 agreed to terminate his contract, partly because he had a good offer from Fotbal Třinec from the 3rd division, the successor to his youth club. This was able to celebrate promotion to the 2nd division at the end of the season. As early as April 2007, however, Lasota was informed that he could no longer keep up in the 2nd division, he was loaned to the sixth division SK Bystřice nad Olší. In the summer of 2007 he moved to the fourth division to Rostex Vyškov. Lasota ended his career after a season in Vyškov .
