Edvardas Makelis

Edvardas Makelis (born July 2, 1954 in Naršėnai , Zarasai district ) is a Lithuanian agronomist and politician.

Life

After graduating from high school from 1961 to 1972 at the Kazimieras Būga Middle School Dusetos near Zarasai , he completed his diploma studies from 1972 to 1977 at the Lietuvos žemės ūkio akademija and from 1985 to 1991 the traineeship at the Timirjasew Agricultural Academy in Moscow . From 1999 to 2000 he was Lithuania's Agriculture Minister in the Kubilius I cabinet . Since 2003 he has been president of “VšĮ Baltijos agroverslo institutas”.
