Edward Elgar Publishing

Edward Elgar Publishing is a British science book and journal publisher based in Cheltenham . It was founded in 1986 and is family owned; another location is in Northampton , Massachusetts . The publishing program includes more than 4,500 books with approx. 300 new publications per year in the field of law and social sciences, particularly economics, including the US Nobel Prize winner in economics, Elinor Ostrom .

The name of the publisher comes from its founder and has nothing to do with the well-known composer Edward Elgar .
