Edward Peregrine Gueritz

Edward Peregrine Gueritz (March 18, 1855 - August 3, 1938 ) was a British colonial governor in northern Borneo .

biography

Gueritz attended St. Andrew's School in Stoke Newington . From 1874 to 1877 he worked in the public service in Sarawak and then worked for the Bank of New Zealand until 1880 . From 1882 he was in various posts in the Malay region and from 1904 to 1911 Governor of North Borneo. During his tenure as governor until 1906 he was also responsible for the administration of Labuan .
