Edwin Thacker
Edwin Thomas Thacker (born July 24, 1913 in Germiston ; † August 4, 1974 ) was a South African athlete .
The high jumper won the British Empire Games in London in 1934, he finished twelfth at the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin , and in 1938 he defended his title at the British Empire Games in Sydney .
He set his personal best of 1.98 m on March 25, 1939 in Johannesburg .
