Egbert Kahle (born January 21, 1943 in Berlin ) is a German business economist and taught from 1982 to 2008 as a full professor of business administration, in particular decision-making and organization, at the University of Lüneburg, later Leuphana University of Lüneburg . He lives in Lüneburg.

Life

After graduating from high school and serving as an officer in the German Armed Forces for four years, he studied business administration in Hanover and Göttingen from 1965 to 1969, and in 1969 earned his degree in business administration . He received his doctorate in 1973 and qualified as a professor in 1977 in business administration in Göttingen. In 1982 he was offered a professorship for business administration, in particular decision-making and organization, at the University of Lüneburg (now Leuphana University). After 25 years in which he first headed the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences and then Faculty II - Economics, Behavioral and Law, he retired in June 2008 and held the position of senior professor for another three years.

Act

Egbert Kahle had been a member of the Association of University Lecturers for Business Administration and its commissions for organization, scientific theory and environmental economics since 1978 . From 1995 to 1997 he chaired the scientific theory commission and from 2000 to 2002 chaired the organization commission. It is noteworthy that in his work he integrated elements of cognitive science and Luhmann's system theory into the business sub-disciplines of organization and decision, alongside aspects of multi-person, multi-target decision-making, multi-target programming, and fuzzy set theory. He always related the knowledge he gained to management problems in profit and non-profit / non-market organizations. As part of this research approach, he supervised many dissertation projects.
