Egon Endres (social scientist)

Egon Endres (* 1960 in Bad Neustadt an der Saale ) is a German social scientist and university professor. From 2006 to 2014 he was President of the Catholic Foundation University in Munich .

Life

Egon Endres studied social pedagogy from 1978 to 1982 at the University of Applied Sciences in Würzburg , where he graduated with a diploma. From 1982 he studied social sciences and history at the University of Göttingen . After graduating with a degree in social economics, he did a doctorate at the University of Göttingen under Horst Kern and Helga Grebing in 1989 with an analysis of the trade union and personnel policy negotiations during the Volkswagen crisis in 1974/75. Subsequently, Egon Endres worked at the Technical University of Hamburg in the field of ergonomics until 1997 and supported inter-company logistics projects. Since 1997 he has been teaching social sciences and social management at the Catholic Foundation University in Munich, Benediktbeuern department. From 2000 to 2005 Endres was Dean of the Social Work Faculty Benediktbeuern, from 2006 to autumn 2014 he was President of the Catholic Foundation University in Munich.
