Egon Kauffmann (born April 1, 1929 in Wesermünde ; † April 28, 2011 in Bremerhaven ) was a German postal worker and politician ( CDU ).

biography

After completing secondary school in Wesermünde, Kauffmann joined the postal service in 1946. He initially worked as a post office clerk, attended Manhattan College in New York in 1954/55 and was promoted to Chief Postal Inspector in 1967. He also worked as the Rendant of the Sacred Heart Congregation in Bremerhaven .

Egon Kauffmann was married and had seven children.

Kauffmann joined the CDU in 1951 and was a city ​​councilor in Bremerhaven from 1963 to 1967 . The Bremen City Parliament he was a member as a deputy from 1967 to 1983.
