Egon Rosenberg

Egon Gerrit Rosenberg (born September 5, 1895 in Emden ; † December 27, 1976 there ) was a German politician ( FDP ) and member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

After attending primary school, Egon Rosenberg completed a commercial training and worked as an assistant. In the First World War he participated in the war from 1915 to 1918. In 1919 he joined the German Democratic Party . In 1919 and 1920 he worked in an export company, first as an assistant, then as an authorized signatory . In 1921 he became the owner of the Emden companies Rosenberg & Co. and Schönberg & Neumark .

Egon Rosenberg became FDP district chairman in 1946 and later Senator and Lord Mayor (September 1946) in the city of Emden. From April 20, 1947 to May 5, 1955 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament (1st and 2nd electoral periods). From June 1, 1953 to May 11, 1954, he took over the deputy chairmanship of the parliamentary group of the FDP; from December 11, 1947 to April 30, 1951, he also chaired the Transport Committee.
