The Medal of Honor for Outstanding Achievement in the FDJ Initiative Berlin was an award that was awarded by the Free German Youth (FDJ) of the German Democratic Republic (GDR) since March 1977. The award was given to young collectives and young people of the FDJ, who had excellent achievements in setting up youth properties in Berlin .

Appearance and wearing style

The golden medal of honor shows the Berlin television tower and a high-rise building on its obverse within the writing ring . The symbol of the FDJ is emblazoned above all. The writing ring is determined by the above inscription Central Youth Object and below by the inscription: FDJ-Initiative Berlin . The medal was worn on the upper left side of the chest of the entrant on a dark blue gold-framed clasp in the middle of which the inscription: EHRENMEDAILLE can be read between two horizontal golden lines . The clasp was then coated with polyester resin.
