Ring of honor of the city of Minden
The Ring of Honor of the City of Minden is an award from the East Westphalian city of Minden and has been awarded since 1964 to personalities who have made a greater contribution to the well-being and reputation of the City of Minden in the local political, economic, social, cultural and sporting fields. It is one of the highest honors in the city of Minden.
Design and history
The ring of honor of the city of Minden is made of gold and shows the city coat of arms. The words: "Ring of honor of the city of Minden for (name of the honored)" are engraved on the ring. The town of Minden's ring of honor was announced in the statutes of October 11, 1963. The statutes came into force the day after their publication. Modified December 21, 2000.
The right to wear the ring of honor is only available to the borrower and expires upon his / her death. The award may not be given away or sold by the recipient or the heir. The ring of honor reverts to the city of Minden after the death of the borrower.
