The verification error limit is the maximum permissible error of verifiable measuring devices during verification .

The traffic error limit is in accordance with § 33 calibration regulations from 1988, twice the calibration error limit, unless otherwise specified. The error limits vary depending on the type of measuring device.

For cold water meters z. B. the calibration error limit is ± 5% in the lower and ± 2% in the upper measuring range. This is laid down in the EEC directive of December 17, 1974 (75/33 / EEC).
