Traffic error limit

The traffic error limit is the maximum permissible error of gauges subject to verification during use within the verification period .

According to legal regulations, the traffic error limit is twice the calibration error limit , unless otherwise specified. This is defined in the calibration regulations (EO) 1988 §33. The error limits vary depending on the type of measuring device. For cold water meters z. B. the traffic error limit is ± 10% in the lower and ± 4% in the upper load range.
