The name Eidsvoll 1814s refers to the fact that in 1814 the first Norwegian constitution was proclaimed in Eidsvoll and Norway was declared an independent state by this act.

history

The Eidsvoll 1814s were founded in 1995 and initially started in the 2nd division. In 1997, the 1814s fought their way to the semi-finals of the Norwegian Cup as a second division team and were only subject to the first division club Vålerenga Trolls from Oslo there .
