Eidy Moya

Eidy Moye (* 4. September 1974 in Barcelona , Venezuela ) is a former Venezuelan boxer in the bantamweight .

Career

In 1992 he beat the Colombian Fernando Retayud 5-0 on points in qualifying for the boxing competitions of the Olympic Games in Barcelona . 1993 became his most successful year as an amateur when Moye won two gold medals at the South American Games and one silver medal at the Central American and Caribbean Games , held in Puerto Rico . In his amateur career, he won 179 fights and lost 9.

In 1994 Moya began his professional career. On October 14, 2001 he boxed against Adan Vargas for the world championship title of the association WBA and won by classic knockout in round 11. However, he lost this belt in his first title defense in April of the following year to Johnny Bredahl by knockout.

In 2004 he ended his career.
