Self launch

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The term self-launch is a technical term from aviation and describes the take-off of an aircraft on its own.

This term is relevant for the glider , which can take off under its own power when it is designed as a motor glider with an auxiliary engine . In contrast to this, pure gliders take off with external power in the form of aircraft tow or winch take-off .

The right to start mode self launch must be purchased and is in the glider license entered.
