Eija Vilpas
Eija Annikki Vilpas (born July 17, 1957 in Tuusula , Finland ) is a Finnish actress .
Life
After completing her teaching degree, Eija Vilpas successfully completed an acting training at the Helsinki Theater Academy . In the early 1980s she starred in films such as The Liar , The Worthless and Mich laust the Monkey . Then she had her great success on Finnish television with the television series Fakta homma . Together with Hannele Lauri , she played the leading role in the television series Hynttyyt yhteen, which ran from 1991 to 1995 . She received the Telvis Award in 1992 and 1993 for her portrayal.
Vilpas was married to the actor Ville Virtanen . She has three children with him, born in 1987 and 1992. She is currently working as UNICEF ambassador for Finland .
