In April 1964, the Catholic Nieuwe Eindhovense krant was absorbed into the Eindhoven Dagblad . In 2000, the publisher of the newspaper VNU sold the Eindhovens Dagblad and its sister newspapers De Gelderlander , BN / De Stem , De Limburger , Brabants Dagblad for 1.8 billion guilders to Wegener. On October 3, 2006, the Eindhoven Dagblad switched from the broadsheet to the more compact tabloid format.
