Cécilia Baudouin starts her new job as a doctor in the small, remote village of Tourlezanne in the Pyrenees. The locals behave negatively towards her and so it is not easy for her to establish contact with the residents at first. Especially since she is the first woman to practice as a doctor. But with her competence, a lot of patience and empathy, over time she succeeds in gaining the trust of the villagers.
