One level arrangement

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The one- level arrangement is an arrangement of all conductor cables on a high-voltage pylon in one level. The one-level arrangement leads to a low construction height of the mast, combined with a large route width . It is almost always used for overhead lines for high-voltage direct current transmissions and traction current lines and for three-phase high-voltage transmission (DHÜ) when the masts must not be too high. The disadvantage of this arrangement is poor coverage by the lightning protection cable .

One speaks of a single-level mast if the overhead line mast supports only 1 or 2 systems in the single-level arrangement. There are also barrel masts with a one-level arrangement, these support up to 6 systems.

While the Danube mast predominates in the old federal states, the single-level mast is the most common one in the new federal states, often without a lightning protection cable and with traverses that taper off to a point just before the ends.
