Mission medal "Abroad"

The mission medal "Abroad" was donated on May 23, 2014 by the Hessian Minister of the Interior as an award to honor merits of the state of Hesse's disaster control operations abroad.

Award Regulations

Requirements for the award are: The posting as a helper abroad by the State of Hesse and a deployment period of three days.

The minister responsible for disaster control hands over the mission medal on behalf of the Hessian Prime Minister .

In addition to the medal, an award certificate is also presented - if possible in a festive setting - both of which become the property of the recipient.

layout

The medal is round and silver in color. On the front there is a colored coat of arms of Hesse , which is surrounded by twelve five-pointed stars . On the back is the word THANK YOU FOR YOUR DEPLOYMENT ABROAD . The medal is carried by a red-white-red ribbon with silver edges.

The ribbon buckle is kept in the same colors as the medal ribbon and has a scaled-down medal in the center.
