Great stone graves near Poppau

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The megalithic graves near Poppau were two possible megalithic graves of the Neolithic deep- engraved ceramic culture near Poppau , a district of the municipality of Beetzendorf in the Altmark district of Salzwedel , Saxony-Anhalt . Both were probably destroyed in the 19th century at the latest. There are no descriptions of the facilities, their possible existence is only documented by the designations "Steinkamer" and "Steinstück" on a historical measuring table sheet.
