Einstødingen (Norwegian for hermit ) is an island in the southern Lützow-Holm Bay on the Prince Harald Coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It is located 16 km east of the island of Padda .

Norwegian cartographers, who also named it based on its isolated location, mapped this island using aerial photographs taken during the Lars Christensen expedition in 1936/37 .
