Einstein Prize for Laser Research

The Einstein Prize for Laser Science was a prize awarded by the Society for Optics and Quantum Electronics from 1988 to 1999. The award was sponsored by Eastman-Kodak and presented at the International Conference on Lasers and Applications . It is named after Albert Einstein as the discoverer of stimulated emission and was associated with a bronze medal with the image of Einstein and the representation of the two-level transition with A and B coefficients .
