The Railway Museum Rosice nad Labem is a railway museum in Pardubice in the northeast of the Czech Republic .

history

In 1995, in the building of the former water house of the Pardubice-Rosice n. L. railway station, a small railway exhibition about the special features of the railway around Pardubice was established. It mainly collects exhibits that are not found in other railway museums. This includes a collection of photos of the railcars operating in the area , various details of braking equipment from Knorr-Bremse , Božič and DAKO, as well as uniforms. Various facilities such as telephone houses that were no longer required by the state railway were removed from the route and re-erected on the club grounds. From 2013 to 2017, the association carried out the refurbishment of the car body of one of the very first combustion railcars existing in Europe , the Tatra railcar M 120.206 from 1927. The association is currently working on another challenging reactivation of a historically very valuable exhibit from the early days of the motorization of railway lines; on the rollable refurbishment of the M 130.104 from 1932.

In addition to various contemporary witnesses of the railway, the collection also includes urban transport in Pardubice. Details of the overhead line of trolleybuses , such as crossings or switches, are explained in detail.
