The Škoda 1201 is a mid-range car from AZNP under the Škoda brand, which appeared in 1954 as the successor to the Škoda 1200 . Like its predecessor, it had a full steel body in the shape of a pontoon.

The vehicles had a water-cooled OHV four-cylinder in-line engine with a capacity of 1221 cm³ and an output of 45 HP (33 kW) at a speed of 4200 rpm, which was equipped with a "Jikov 32 SOP" carburetor. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear of the gearbox flanged to the engine were synchronized. The engine power was transmitted to the rear wheels via a cardan shaft. The 1050 to 1220 kg heavy car ran 90 to 105 km / h.

As with the predecessor, a four-door sedan, a four-door station wagon and a two-door delivery van were available. There was also a two-door pickup. Together with its predecessor, 67,071 copies were produced in the Mladá Boleslav , Kvasiny and Vrchlabí plants.

Production of this vehicle ended in 1961. The successor to station wagons, delivery vans and pickups that appeared in the same year was called the Škoda 1202 . The sedan was initially without a successor.
