The Škoda 430 is a passenger car model from the Czech car manufacturer Škoda , which was built from 1929 to 1932.

The first test drives with prototypes took place in winter 1928/1929, series production started in April 1929, and from summer 1929 the first vehicles were exported to Poland, Yugoslavia and Austria.

In 1929 around 1,000 vehicles rolled off the production line, and a total of 3,028 vehicles had been built by 1930. From 1930, the Škoda 430D was built in parallel to compete with the Škoda 430. The 430D has a 1.8 liter engine and was built until 1936.

technology

The car has a ladder frame with rigid axles at the front and rear, the wheelbase is 1360 mm. Cable-operated drum brakes are installed on all four wheels . Tires measuring 5¼ × 28 in are mounted on the rims. The engine is a water-cooled four-cylinder in-line engine with SV valve control with a displacement of 1661 cm³ and an output of 22 kW. The torque is transmitted to the rear wheels via a three-speed gearbox and a cardan shaft. The Škoda 430 is only available as a right-hand drive. In the touring car version the vehicle has a mass of 1180 kg, as a landaulet 1280 kg.
