The Škoda 418/420/421 series consisted of various small cars from the Czechoslovak manufacturer Škoda . All models had bodies in a wood / steel mixed construction.

The Škoda 420 Standard appeared in 1933 as a two-door sedan, roadster or three-door station wagon. The water-cooled, side-controlled four-cylinder four-stroke engine had a displacement of 995 cm³ and an output of 20 hp (15 kW). He accelerated the 450-750 kg vehicle up to 85 km / h. The drive force was passed on to the rear wheels via the gearbox flanged to the engine block and a cardan shaft. The front and rear forked skeleton frame of the car consisted of welded steel U-profiles.

The Škoda 420 Rapid model was added in 1934 . Its engine of the same design had a displacement of 1,195 cc and developed 26 hp (19 kW). The top speed increased to 90 km / h. This model was also sold as the Škoda 421 .

The Škoda 418 Popular also appeared in 1934 . Its engine had a displacement of just 905 cc and developed 18 hp (13 kW). This was enough for a top speed of 80 km / h.

Another model this year was the Škoda 420 Popular . Its engine corresponded to that of the "Standard", but developed 22 HP (16 kW). 20 cars of this type were delivered as a coupe with an aluminum body.

Sports cars called Škoda 418/421 Popular Sport - Monte Carlo were created in 1935 . The engines had a capacity of 1,385 cm³ and developed 36 hp (26 kW). This was sufficient for speeds of 110 to 120 km / h. Only two roadsters with a curb weight of 870 kg were produced.
