Practice (Škoda)

Praktik is the name given to the delivery van variants of various Škoda models. The commercial vehicles are based on passenger cars, but have a truck registration. The load compartment is separated from the front seats by a permanently installed partition. Other commercial vehicle variants at Škoda were the pick-up , both with an open loading area and with a box body, and the Van-Plus (station wagon with box extension), which were discontinued in 2001.

The first Praktik delivery van was based on the Škoda Forman , followed by Praktik variants based on the Škoda Fabia I , Škoda Octavia I , Škoda Octavia II and the Škoda Roomster . The delivery van based on the latter high-roof station wagon was marketed as Škoda Praktik . The commercial vehicle version of the Octavia was only available in Austria.

In Austria, the Praktik models are free of the standard consumption tax . The elimination of this special tax means that the Praktik models are cheaper in Austria than their corresponding car variants.
