The Škoda Rapid 2200 was the successor to the Škoda Rapid Six . The upper mid-range four-door hatchback sedan appeared in 1941 . The body in mixed construction (sheet steel panels on a wooden frame) sat on a central tubular frame made of welded steel U-profiles, forked at the front and rear .

The new, water-cooled, overhead control six-cylinder four-stroke in-line engine had a displacement of 2199 cm³ and an output of 60 hp (44 kW). He accelerated the 1350 kg vehicle up to 120 km / h. The rear wheels were driven via the gearbox flanged to the engine block and the cardan shaft.
