The Škoda VisionC vehicle was a design study presented in March 2014 at the Geneva Motor Show in the form of a “four-door” coupé with a sloping rear from Škoda Auto . The design should present the future design line of the manufacturer at the motor show.

The near-series vehicle, painted in green, has a supercharged engine with direct injection ( TSI ) that can run on natural gas or petrol. It has a displacement of 1.4 liters and 81 kW (110 hp), which should reach a top speed of 214 km / h. The triangular front and fog lights are located next to the large air inlet. The rear lights in the bent rear are made of narrow crystal glass. The vehicle is equipped with 19-inch alloy wheels. Journalists found the design “edgy” and “charismatic”.

Vehicle rear

A special feature in the vehicle interior are inlays made from Bohemian crystal glass. The touchscreen in the center console is mainly used to operate the vehicle functions. Classic instruments were dispensed with in the concept vehicle. Instead, the vehicle has an LCD monitor with an integrated multimedia system (including navigation). The automobile designer Jozef Kabaň did without a classic rear seat bench in the rear and had two single seats in the shape of a shell built in, just like in the front. When the reverse gear is engaged, the headrests lower automatically. Another detail of the concept are the retractable door handles that extend when touched and then retract again by themselves.

The drag coefficient (c _w ) of the concept vehicle is 0.26. To save weight, the manufacturer used carbon fiber for the gas tanks and used strong, hot-formed steels. Larger add-on parts such as the wing side panels, the bonnet or the side doors are made of aluminum .
