history

The SUV was presented on November 4, 2019 in Tianjin, China . It went on sale in China shortly afterwards. The series manufactured in China is not intended for other markets. The manufacturer already showed a visual outlook of the model in June 2019 at the Shenzhen International Auto Show with the Škoda Vision GT concept vehicle .

technology

The vehicle is based on the Kamiq introduced in 2018 for the Chinese market . This does not correspond to the Kamiq offered in Europe . Compared to the base model, the Kamiq GT has, among other things, a wider radiator grille, different exhaust covers and a slightly flatter roof profile and is therefore also known as an SUV coupé . The model is also positioned above the Chinese Kamiq in terms of price. In addition to the 82 kW (111 PS) 1.5-liter petrol engine, there is also a supercharged 1.2-liter petrol engine with 85 kW (116 PS) on the market.

With the Kodiaq GT , Škoda is offering another model known as an SUV coupé exclusively on the Chinese market.
