The Škoda 637 was the larger sister model of the Škoda 633 and the smaller of the Škoda 645 . The car came out in 1932 with various bodies in a wood / steel mix construction.

In the original model, the water-cooled, side-controlled six-cylinder four-stroke engine had a displacement of 1961 cm³ and an output of 37 hp (27 kW). He accelerated the 870-1300 kg vehicle up to 100 km / h. The drive force was passed on to the rear wheels via the gearbox flanged to the engine block and a cardan shaft. The frame of the car was made of riveted steel U-profiles.

In 1934 the models 637 D and 637 K were added. Their engines of the same design developed 45 hp (33 kW). The top speed increased to 110 km / h. The model 637 K had a skeleton frame with an integrated cardan shaft instead of a frame made of riveted U-profiles.

11 cars of the type 637 were produced in 1932 and 1933. 39 of the type 637 D and 17 of the type 637 K were produced in 1934 and 1935.
