The Škoda 1202 was a mid -range station wagon from AZNP under the Škoda brand, which appeared in 1961 as the successor to the station wagon and pickup models of the Škoda 1201 . Its appearance was similar to that of the smaller Octavia Combi model .

Rear view

The vehicles had a water-cooled OHV -Vierzylinder-line engine with 1221 cc capacity and a power of 47 HP (34.5 kW) at a speed of 4500 / min, with a carburetor was equipped type Jikov 32 SOPC. The second, third and fourth gear of the gearbox flanged to the engine were synchronized. The engine power was transmitted to the rear wheels via a cardan shaft . The 985 to 1120 kg heavy car reached a top speed of 100 km / h. The extremely large payload of 650 kg was remarkable.

As with the predecessor, a station wagon, a two-door delivery van and a two-door pickup were available. The limousine was omitted.

New compared to the 1201 model were larger window areas, a tailgate that could be opened upwards, a tank moved behind the rear axle and asymmetrical low beam . The production of this vehicle ended in 1973 without a direct successor.
