The Škoda Kamiq is a car model of the Chinese-German-Czech automobile manufacturer joint venture SAIC Škoda . The Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) built in Yizheng only for the Chinese market was presented on April 23, 2018 at the Beijing Auto Show and has been on sale since June 2018.

technology

The vehicle is powered by a 1.5-liter turbo-charged gasoline engine. Depending on the model, the engine transmits the torque to the front wheels via a dual clutch gearbox with six gears or a manually shiftable five-speed gearbox. Four-wheel drive is not available.

The Kamiq is based on the PQ 34 platform of the VW Cross Lavida , according to other sources on the PQ25 platform . The vehicle is reminiscent of the other Škoda SUV models. According to the press, the taillights are much simpler than on the other Škoda SUVs Kodiaq and Karoq .
