Lenneaue Kabel nature reserve
The nature reserve Lenneaue Kabel with an area of 31.78 hectares is located in the area of the independent city of Hagen in North Rhine-Westphalia . The nature reserve (NSG) was designated in 1994 with the landscape plan of the city of Hagen by the city council of Hagen. The L 674 borders in the north, with the L 674 separating the northeastern part of the area from the main part of the NSG. The Lennesteilhang Garenfeld nature reserve is only separated by the L 674 . The small north-eastern part of the Lenneaue Kabel nature reserve is even directly adjacent. The street K 3 delimits the NSG to the west. In the south, the Aue and Lenne are located in a nature reserve .
Area description
In the NSG, the floodplain and the gently meandering Lenne are located in this area. In the floodplain, there are agricultural grassland areas in the form of extensive hay meadows, mostly as smooth oat meadows and fallow grassland. In the eastern area of the NSG is a device connected to the Lenne backwater . In the NSG there are also individual old wood and remains of alluvial forests.
Protection purpose
The NSG was designated as a nature reserve for the preservation and restoration of communities or habitats of certain wild plant and wild animal species as well as for the preservation and development of nationally significant biotopes of rare and endangered as well as typical wild plant and animal species of European importance .
