In the NSG there are only forest areas. In the forest there are mainly beech forests. The beech forest is orchid-beech forest, grove-beech forest and pearl grass beech forest. There are numerous orchids in the orchid-lime-beech forest. Some of the beeches are multi-stemmed, which indicates a former coppice forest use. There are also two stands of spruce in the NSG. High rocks can be seen on federal road 7, which were created by cutting the mountain during road construction. In the NSG there are caves like the Rolf Cave . The caves serve as winter quarters for bats, amphibians and insects such as butterflies and two-winged birds. Plants such as the white forest bird , the small-leaved stendellus , the shield fern , the deer tongue , the saxifrage , the bird's nest root and the daphne grow in the forest .
