Iron ore processes
The iron ore trials were legal proceedings initiated by the British occupying forces in the spring of 1946 and took place in Graz ( Austria ).
A number of Volkssturm men from Eisenerz were accused of massacring over 250 Hungarian Jews on April 7, 1945 during a death march on the Präbichl ( Erzberg ). Of the 18 defendants, ten (including Otto Christandl ) were sentenced to death, four received prison terms and four were released from prison. Those sentenced to death were executed on June 21, 1946.
