The Hockey live (own spelling HOCKEY live ) was a German Hockey trade magazine . A total of 38 issues were published between October 1998 and December 2001. It was published by DSV Deutscher Sportverlag Kurt Stoof GmbH , whose editorial manager for sports magazines was Helmut Gilles . The editorial office was based in Bad Nauheim and consisted of the person in charge, Volker Ries, of Patrick Bernecker and Marc Schröder. Just like the other magazines distributed by DSV, Ice Hockey Live did not have its own website.

The magazine appeared monthly, with issues that appeared at the beginning of the season, referred to as special issues. Thematically all German leagues were looked after and there was extensive coverage of the NHL . After the magazine was discontinued at the end of 2001, Patrick Bernecker became editor-in-chief of the newly founded Ice Hockey World .
