Patrick Bernecker

Patrick Bernecker (* 1969 ) is a German sports journalist , commentator , non-fiction author with a focus on ice hockey and former editor-in-chief of Ice Hockey World .

Life

Bernecker has been working in the ice hockey magazine segment since 1994. Until 1998 he worked as an editor for ice hockey magazine and then live for ice hockey . In February 2002, he launched his own ice hockey magazine, Ice Hockey World . 55 issues had appeared by October 2007. From 2008, Bernecker supported the NHL department for ice hockey news .

From 2000 to 2002 he worked as a commentator for Sky Deutschland (at the time it was a premiere). For the Frankfurt Lions he commented on games on their radio stations. In 2012, Bernecker commented on ice hockey broadcasts for ServusTV . He also commented for Sport1 and Telekom Sport .

In 2003 the non-fiction book Titel, Tore, Tänen: The history of a league: 10 years of the German ice hockey league was published by Copress Sport . Bernecker has been playing ice hockey himself for many decades.
