The ice hockey magazine was a German ice hockey magazine .

history

Sports journalist Horst Eckert founded the monthly magazine in 1973, which called itself "Germany's largest ice hockey journal". Eckert looked after her for many years as editor-in-chief and also reported as a reporter on national leagues and international tournaments. In 1995 it merged with the Eiszeit magazine , which appeared eight times between 1994 and 1995, and briefly took on the name Ice Hockey Magazine, combined with Ice Age . The new editors-in-chief were Günter Klein , the previous editor of the Ice Age , and Dag Heydecker . The editorial team consisted of three offices: center in Bad Nauheim and Friedberg (Hessen) , south in Augsburg and west in Duisburg .

In February 1998 the subscribers were informed by the publishing house that the publishing development of the ice hockey magazine had not met the objectives and the magazine was discontinued with the 2/98 issue. While subscribers were referred to the ice hockey news , the editor-in-chief Günter Klein continued his journalistic career as a football reporter for FC Bayern Munich at Münchner Merkur , while Dag Heydecker took over the marketing and public relations departments at the Adler Mannheim ice hockey club as managing director .

construction

The magazine appeared monthly. After the Sport-Kurier was discontinued , there were special editions in 1996 and 1997 that appeared at the beginning of the season. Thematically, the focus was on the top three German leagues and there was also reports on the German national ice hockey team and the NHL .
