Rudi Vogt

Rudi Vogt (* 1933 ) is a former German national basketball player .

career

Vogt did athletics and was German youth champion in pentathlon in 1951 . He later won the title of Bavarian high jump champion and was also a talented sprinter who covered the 100 meters in a best time of 10.9 seconds.

Vogt also played basketball for MTV , in 1952 he moved to FC Bayern Munich and was appointed to the German national basketball team for the first time at the end of 1952 . By 1957 he made a total of 30 international appearances and took part in the European Championships in 1955 and 1957 .

In 1954 and 1955, the 1.78 meter tall Vogt won the German championship with FC Bayern. He played for Munich until 1966.

Later Vogt, who worked as an insurance salesman, was first treasurer and then chairman of SC Riessersee . During his tenure as president there, he also won the German ice hockey championship in 1981. In 1992 he headed the organizing committee of the curling world championships for women and men in Garmisch-Partenkirchen .
