The World Curling Championships the men in 1992 (officially: Canada Safeway World Men's Curling Championship in 1992 ) was the 34th (including Scotch Cup ) World Championships in curling of Lords. It was held from March 28th to April 5th of that year in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in the Olympic ice stadium .
The World Curling Championships the men was in a round-robin tournament ( round-robin ) between the teams from Scotland , Canada , the United States , Germany , Sweden , England , the Switzerland , Denmark , France and debutant Australia played.
The games were scheduled for ten ends .
In the third final in a row for the defending champion Scotland they were defeated this time by the Swiss Confederation with 3: 6 stones in nine ends. Switzerland became world curling champion for the third time. Since there was no match for third place, the two semi-final losers Canada and the United States received a bronze medal.
